The manufacturing of your vinyl records in 9 steps

1. Mastering

Vinyl mastering is a decisive step for the quality of the sound your record will produce. That's why it's necessary for it to be adapted to the constraints of the vinyl medium. Discover the secrets of vinyl mastering with our article.

2. Sending and processing of files

3. Cutting of lacquers

We proceed to cut your master on a lacquer using a cutting lathe. In this article, we explain the cutting methods, how a cutting lathe works, and the limitations inherent to vinyl cutting.

4. Creation of matrices

We create the matrices for pressing by electroforming. Depending on the number of copies you ordered, we make a simple matrix or a family, here is an article to explain the process.

5. Printed elements

6. Test pressing

7. Vinyl pressing

The final but not least step! A cake of PVC is crushed by a 100-ton press at 170°C then cooled suddenly. Learn about the constraints of this very technical production and the importance of the material used.

8. Packaging

This step is often overlooked, but it's here that all your graphics are enhanced. You will need to choose between simple cellophane or more sophisticated sleeves to highlight your record. We explain everything.

9. Shipping
